In Literacy the children have created their own story about a teacher who has magical powers. This was based on the book Class Six and the very big rabbit by Cliff Moon, Martin Waddell and Tony Ross.
In Numeracy we are continuing to practise and learn out number bonds to 10 and the 2, 5 and 10 times table. It would be an enormous help if you could find a few minutes a day to reinforce these.
Our Science topic has been Health and Growth. We have spent time looking at how we have changed since we were a baby and have drawn pictures using 2 Simple – 2 Paint.
In Art the children have been creating self-portraits. They used mirrors and looked carefully at the different features of their faces.
PE days are now Thursday and Friday. The children have been developing their gymnastic and ball skills in these lessons.
Next half term the class topic will be festivals. This will include Diwali, Remembrance day, Bonfire night and Christmas. Our Science topic will also be related to this, Light and Dark.
